2005 Compton 33

Strong downeast express cruiser designed by Terry Compton. The 33 Compton is renowned for great offshore performance and a comfortable layout.  Twin Cummins 5.9L QSB 380 HP engines with only 1600 hours. Cruises at 27 knots. Exceptionally good care and mechanical updates by qualified engineers. Both engines have new aftercooler cores and housing serviced. Each engine has a new alternator. See further details below. This vessel is a good value, particularly when contrasted with Back Cove, Sabre or Legacy.

Forward cabin has an offset queen berth, starboard guest cabin with twin upper and lower berths. Port head and a separate shower stall. Fantastic visibility at pilothouse helm and from the entire salon area. Galley up.  Ample storage under cockpit deck - which can accommodate a rib tender and outboard. Cushioned transom and foredeck seating. Aft helm controls. Canvas awning protects spacious cockpit living space. Transom door, sturdy swim platform. 

Major upgrades and replacements have been completed in the last five years, including:

On Port  5.9L Cummins diesel Replace aftercooler core and service housing. Paint engine ● Rebuild raw water pump: mechanical ceramic seals and bearings ● Install new alternator

On Starboard  5.9L Cummins diesel ● Rebuild engine (pistons, rings and bearings), Kaser Diesel, Machinist, Simplex (repair resulting from failed aftercooler) ● Replace aftercooler core and service housing ● Replace one motor mount (other three in good condition) ● Replace ceramic shaft seal (and install back up unit for future replacement ● Paint engine and transmission ● New alternator in Meridian boat stock (existing unit working properly)

On Northern Lights 6kW Generator ● Rebuild head ,valves, guides, etc., (All Cape Machine) ● Replace rings, bearings, (Baier Marine Services) ● Disassemble, clean and paint engine and generator

Vessel:  Install Auto-Helm system.   Install AIS,  Install new Intelli-Marine battery charger (Pina Marine Electronics) Install new 110v water heater Replace base for radar mast, fiber-glassed in place ( James Conway Composites)   AlwGrip hull in flag blue, (Safe Harbor, Onset, MA)  Install new Air-Conditioning unit in main salon, (John O'Brien Refrigeration)  Replace port and starboard cutlass bearings.  Replace two 4D batteries 2022, 2023, and one 8D, 2024  Bow thruster motor, brushes and connections cleaned.
